Rockdale Plaza has sat in the heart of Rockdale since the 1960s as a retail precinct. Charter Hall identified an opportunity to further develop a sense of belonging and excitement in the community through an ambience upgrade.

Interior architects Alexander & Co. (A&Co.) were engaged to provide the ambience upgrade. The project focused on furniture, fixtures and fittings throughout the general mall, car park entries, atrium area and fresh food precinct. Shoppers would also be pleased to discover a timeless mural depicting historic moments from our shared past as they journey from the car park through to the retail space.  

Rockdale Plaza remains a focal point for locals which is loved by generations of shoppers. The aim of the project is to further enhance the appeal and convenience of Rockdale Plaza, whilst instilling a sense of belonging so shoppers feel proud to be a part of the community.

In late 2022, Rockdale Plaza completed this ambience upgrade project.
